Nokia 808 pureview with 41mp camera.!
The finnish mobile giant announced a new beast in the mobile imaging scenario with the "Nokia 808 pureview" at the mobile world congress 2012. The 4" (640 x 360 pixels) symbian smartphone has a 1.3ghz processor and 512mb of ram.This one too has other common smartphone features like 16gb memory, HDMI ,Wifi-n, A-gps, NFC etc.Ok lets get straight to the most interesting aspect of the phone-"The 41mp sensor". The camera uses a carl zeiss optics lens and has an effective resolution of 7728 x 5368. Now that is something in the ranks of an SLR .It has a Xenon as well as an LED flash . Ok now most of you would be fascinated by the sheer no of pixels the camera offers but, the real magic happens with how Nokia uses that massive sensor . Generally, the camera on this one is a 5mp or 8mp unit,Nokia uses the full sensor to enhance the quality of the image captured. dont get it? So what it basically means is you can zoom into the image without any loss in detail unlike in conventional digital zoom lenses ie: choosing an 8mp setting gives you 3x zoom wothout compromising on image quality.The sensor packs in more pixels so that you get flawless image quality. The camera can also record 1080p full HD videos with 4X zoom. Now, Nokia has turned mobile imaging technology on its head by introducing this phone. The only concern that I have with the phone is that it is a symbian phone.I mean , what happened to windows being your premier OS , Nokia? . Anyways its a treat for any shutterbug out there. I am really looking forward to this one.
